Visual Liturgy is a powerful computer software package designed to enable users to plan and prepare liturgy and worship services. Visual Liturgy 4.0 for the Church of Ireland builds upon the popular features of Visual Liturgy by providing an additional module with content based on The Book of Common Prayer (2004).

Visual Liturgy has set the standard for computer-based liturgical planning and the new Visual Liturgy 4.0 raises the benchmark even higher. Given a substantial overhaul, the design of the software has been revisited with some functions significantly improved in order to make it easier to use; and the new edition also provides increased content.

Contents include:

• The Book of Common Prayer (2004);
• Irish Church Hymnal (5th edition) — full text of non-copyrighted hymns and first lines of copyrighted hymns;
• Common Worship Psalter pointed for use with Anglican chant;
• Revised Common Lectionary (as adapted by the Church of Ireland) in NRSV translation.

Published on CD-ROM, the Church of Ireland version is in the form of an additional module for Visual Liturgy 4.0 for Common Worship. This means that Visual Liturgy 4.0 for Common Worship must be installed before this module can be installed. This version cannot be used as a stand-alone product.
