The life of the local church - and in particular its public worship - often fails to engage with young people, with the result that they see church as alien to their spiritual growth.

But empowering them as theologians, interpreters and linguists can create worship which, whilst still rooted in Scripture and tradition, engages with their world.  This study explores the whys and hows and opens exciting opportunities for growth.

Steve Emery-Wright is a Methodist minister who has worked in youth ministry and served churches in the USA, New Zealand, the UK and now in Singapore.  He currently lectures in youth ministry and pastoral theology at Trinity Theological College in Singapore.
