Anglicans believe that the Bible, the tradition of the Church and human reason are the channels through which we can hear God speaking to us.
This volume offers clear and accurate resources intended to help bishops, clergy and lay people in the Anglican Communion to listen to God and to one another on the subject of human sexuality, taking into account in particular Resolution 1.10 of the 1998 Lambeth Conference, which encourages a readiness 'to listen to the experience of homosexual persons'. This book is a contribution to the Anglican Communion's Listening Process.
It seeks to:
- hear the variety of responses to Resolution 1.10 offered fro across the Anglican Communion
- increase the individual reader's understanding of diverse perspectives of approach to homosexuality
- inform and encourage study of the issue in parishes, dioceses and provinces
The contributors to this book are women and men who reflect the geographical and theological diversity of the Communion. They include bishoops, clergy and laity with a wide range of experience and expertise.
