How do I add my delivery address?

After clicking on 'Proceed to Checkout' you will be asked to add your delivery address details. Click on 'Edit' and the address finder will pop-up. Select either 'UK' or 'Non UK'.

If you would like your books delivered to an address in the UK enter your postcode on the next screen and click 'Search'. A list of addresses will be displayed - choose your address from the list or click on 'Can't find it? Skip this stage'. You will be able to check your address and change any details on the next screen. Please also add addressee details and a contact telephone number, which we will use if there is a problem with your order. Click on 'Save'.

If you would like your books delivered to a country other than the UK you will need to enter all of your address details, choosing your country from the drop-down menu. Click on 'Save'.

How do I add payment card details?

On the 'Payment Method' screen click on 'Add new credit or debit card'. Select your card type (i.e. Visa, MasterCard etc.) and enter the number, card holder name and expiry date.

If your billing address (the address your payment card is registered to) is the same as your delivery address you can simply tick this box. If not you can enter billing address details by clicking on 'Edit' and using the address finder (see instructions above).

Click on 'Save card details'. Next enter your card's CVV number - this is the last three digits of the number printed on the back of your card. Click on 'Next'.

Why has my debit/credit card been rejected?

There are few different reasons why this might have happened. Most common is a slight mistake in the card details entered - please double check your card number and make sure you have entered the correct CVV number (the last three digits of the number printed on the back of your card).

Please also check that your billing address is correct. This needs to be the address your card is registered to and should match the address on your card statements exactly. We need this information in order to check that your card is not being used fraudulently.

Can I change my username and password?

Yes! If you have forgotten your password you can request it by clicking on 'Login/register' at the top of the homepage and then clicking on 'Forgot password? Click here'.

If you would just like to change your account details you can do so by logging onto your account and clicking on 'My account' at the top of the homepage. Click on either 'Change Username' or 'Change Password'.

Why are my books taking longer than expected to arrive?

We aim to despatch books we have in stock within two working days of you placing your order. All other books are normally available within 10 working days, although occaisionally older and rarer books will take longer to arrive. If you are concerned about the length of time your order is taking please email bookshop@chbookshop.co.uk with your name and order number (included on your confirmation email) and we will be able to update you on its status.
